This is the kind of close up that i would work around. bright eye shadow makeup and very natural looking face makeup (foundation and blusher - to highlight the cheekbones making the model look pure, good and natural).
I like this front shot on this magazine as it is unusual as it is taken under water with Drew Barrymore with a dress that contrasts with the blue colour of the water, on her dress she has flowers that slightly look like coral and it almost looks like she is flying. the shot is really good as it captures all of her body and is really interesting.
