Inspiration photoshoots

Planning.

I am planning on doing a photo-shoot in the studio for my front cover and contents page. Although for my double page spread, I am planning on doing a photo-shoot in the back alley near to my college. On the front cover i want to do a simple shot, but effective to make it look like a professional photo-shoot. It is going to be around the 80's style, as my model is wearing a 80's type dress, and going to be wearing 80's makeup and heel's from the 80's. On my contents page, again i want to do a overall one shot, but this time i am going to use props, think i am going to use balloons, as they will be effective in a white background studio shot, my model is going to be tanned, wearing a dress or smart pants and a top, with her makeup toned down to look a bit more natural, and going to be wearing heels again, with maybe jeans or smart pants. I think i am going to use a shot of my model being playful with the balloons, and maybe look a bit childish but still make it work for my target audience for this magazine. Finally, in my double page spread i am going to take my model outside the studio onto the streets, going to be taking her to a back alley and taking shots of her against a wall and hopefully it will work that the grit and dull look of the back alley against my model they will contrast and make it look good, and make my model and her outfit and my photography make her look good.

Costumes and Props

Firstly, for the costumes i am planning to use are a 80's sequin dress, bright makeup and high heels. I want my model to be tanned so i am going to use the prop extra in the editing studio to get the effect i want. I am going to get my model do various different styles of shoots, playful ones, serious and her even looking away from the camera to see what different effects i can get from using different angles of the camera.

For the contents page, i am going to have my model in a different costume and going to be using balloons as a prop, i am going to take carious shots including her playing around with the balloons, with my model smiling. I am planning on using all one shot for the contents page, to the right hand side and then all of the writing and telling my audience what's in the magazine on the right hand side of the page.

On the feature article, (double page spread) i am going to use my model and take her out of the studio and into some back alleys near college, hopefully get the grit and dull effect against my model, which is going to be brightly dressed, tanned and in the editing process of my pictures, i think i am going to try making the background of the dull, grit back alley walls and turn them black and white with my model staying the same, so it will bring her out.

Front and Back cover ideas.

I really like this front cover as it shows Rihanna at her best and shows how sexy she is making her new album is and the photography is amazing, extreme close up showing a natural looking Rihanna, with bright red lipstick, bright red hair and false eyelashes. Although natural looking skin.
This is a very interesting shot, as Rihanna looks smart but bare. I like her clothing she has chose to wear for this shot, she is looking faisty and sexy, trying to show off her new album and what it's all about. The colours are interesting too, her new bright red hair with a sailor look almost, with her blue and white stripes. She is naturally tanned anyway, which makes it even better, and the fact that she has brought in props as well, sitting on the chair is simple but effective.

This picture is took from inside her album and a photo shoot she did for the new album. It's a cleaver photo to have took, and stands out, as looks like she isn't wearing anything on her top half, showing again how sexy and fiasty image Rihanna is trying to pull off, and looks like it is working. There is also writing in the bottom left side of the page, italics and swirls. i really like theis cover shot and hopefully will achieve something similar when i do a cover shot similar to this.

Fonts

These are a few fonts that i have found that are maybe a possibility i might use as my title, although using a italic font as the title might make it look a bit over the top and not right as no other magazine has got a italic font. I like the top one, but it will be a bit over the tope for a title on the front cover as there are too many swirls and curves and maybe to hard for the audience to understand what it says. The third and forth one are good, as maybe the third one is italic but it will look good as it isn't plain but it is easy to understand for the audience, and the forth one down is also very good as it is plain but eye catching.
